How it works

  1. Discussion and audit

    Together we review your profile and the moment in the customer journey when people are most willing to share their experience.

  2. Installation

    We install the displays, test NFC and QR code on several phones and brief your team.

  3. Optional connection

    On Google’s official consent screen, you allow the dashboard to read your profile. You can remove this access at any time.

  4. 30-day review

    We look at how the displays are used and at the observed change in your reviews.

Dashboard

What you see once your profile is connected

The dashboard calls the official Google Business Profile APIs on behalf of the account you connected, and only for the profiles that account owns or manages.

It is intended for owners and authorised managers of a Business Profile.

Locations
Name, address, phone number, website, categories and opening hours of each profile.
Reviews
Text, rating and date of each review, any reply, average rating and total number of reviews.
Statistics
Over the last 30 days: profile views in Google Search and Google Maps, calls, direction requests, website clicks, plus bookings, messages and menu views where these features exist for your business.
Searches
The search terms that showed your profile over the last three full months.

Your Google data

Limited, transparent and revocable access

Connecting Google is optional and only used for the dashboard. Here is exactly what it involves.

Official Google sign-in

You sign in on Google’s secure page (OAuth 2.0). We never see your password.

Permissions requested

Your basic identity (name, email address, profile picture) to identify you, and Google Business Profile access (business.manage), the only permission Google offers for these APIs. We use it solely to read the information described above.

No changes without you

The dashboard does not change your profile. If an action is ever offered, such as posting a reply to a review, it will only run after your explicit approval, and you will be notified of every change within 48 hours.

Short retention

Content received from Google (reviews, profile information, statistics) is kept for no more than 30 days, only to display your dashboard, then deleted or refreshed.

No resale, no advertising

Your Google data is never sold, never used for advertising, never used to train artificial intelligence models and never shared with third parties other than our technical hosting provider.

Revoke access at any time

Remove access from your Google Account permissions page or email us: your access tokens and Google data are then deleted within 7 business days.

Etolys’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Our commitments

Authentic reviews, in line with Google’s rules

  • An invitation open to everyone. The display is offered to every customer, with no prior filtering of satisfied and dissatisfied customers.
  • No incentives. No discount, gift or benefit in exchange for a review.
  • Neutral wording. “If you would like to share your experience, you can tap your phone here.”
  • No promise of rating or ranking. Your rating reflects your customers’ real experience; we guarantee no position in Google Search or Google Maps.
  • You stay in control of your replies. If we help you reply to reviews, we suggest drafts: nothing is posted without your approval.

Etolys is a French service run by Thomas Royer. We work with shops and venues open to the public in the Nantes metropolitan area: hairdressers, beauty salons, restaurants, bars and other local businesses.
